The Manteca Chargers novice wrapped up the Delta Youth Football League regular season Saturday with a 26-13 win over the Dublin Fighting Irish and will be joined by the Chargers varsity, junior varsity and junior novice when the DYFL playoffs begin this weekend.
Jordan Serbousek averaged better than 10 yards per carry for Manteca, gaining 193 yards on 16 carries with scoring run of 47 and 72 yards. Robert Ellis added a 23-yard touchdown run for the Chargers and Nick Garcia scored from 28 yards out on a quarterback keeper.
Jeff Perry (fumble recovery) was in on nine tackles and Kyle Wlodarczyk (interception) made four stops.
NCYF varsity
Jr. T’wolves 46, Lodi 8
Marcelo Morales scored three touchdowns to lead the Jr. Timberwolves to a first-round playoff win.
Morales (four carries, 71 yards) scored on a 49-yard run and pulled in touchdown passes of 30 and 47 yards from Luke Weaver (5 for 5 passing, 117 yards).
Tim Thomas (six carries, 58 yards), Nikko Nunez and Marcus Miller (63-yard touchdownrun) all scored as the Manteca offensive line of Dominic Alvarez, Salazar, Marlin, Jose Rios, Jesse Perea and Daniel Mendez dominated the line of scrimmage.
The Jr. Timberwolves defense was led by Tim Thomas (eight tackles) and Sebastian Salazar (six tackles, fumble recovery) with major contributions from Josh Marlin, Gustavo Delagadillo, Dominic Alvarez and Nikko Nunez.
Cen-Cal varsity
Jaguars 38, Jr. Buffs 34
Ben Wheeler’s three two-point conversion kicks were the difference for the Jaguars in the regular-season finale.
Joel Yuson gained 244 yards on just eight carries for the Jaguars with scoring runs of 46, 47 and 68 yards as well as a touchdown on a 53-yard punt return. Rovin Soriano added 68 yards on eight carries and Zane Salgado had seven carries for 62 yards.
Salgado led the Jaguars defense with 11 tackles followed by Derrik McGee with 10, Christian Moore with eight, Benjamin Wheeler and Dylan Zimmermann with six each and Reianne Ferrer with four.
TVYFL JV
Knights 22, Modesto 6
Brooks Wheatley scored two touchdowns for the Knights in their regular-season finale.
Wheatley (79 yards rushing, 50 yards passing) led the Ripon attack with Jace Beidleman hitting Thys Van der Hoek with a touchdown pass for the first Knights score.
The Knights defense dominated the Rams offense and was led by led by Peyton Reiseck (five tackles), Mason Bogetti (four tackles, fumble recovery), Stanley Kensic (four tackles, fumble recovery), Wheatley, Rogelio Gonzalez and Christopher Cavasos with three tackles each, Preston Zuidervaart (two tackles, interception) and Jacob Camper and Carson Sanders with two stops apiece.
NCYF Rookies
Cowboys 45, Tracy 12
Anthony Morales led a balanced Cowboys attack with two touchdown throws.
Morales had an 18-yard touchdown throw to Jeremy Ap’e and one of 14 yards to Blake Mount.
Bryson Davis (68 yards rushing) scored on runs of 6 and 12 yards; Gabriel Flores (57 yards rushing) had a 12-yard touchdown run; Omar Diaz (35 yards rushing) scored from 6 yards out; Ap’e added a 12-yard touchdown run, Mount scored from 25 yards out.
Omar Diaz (interception) made three tackles for Manteca and he ended game with sack and scoop for a touchdown. Brandyn Sena added five tackles followed by Gabriel Flores and Bryson Davis with four, Mount and Gabriel Lopez with three and Elisio Lopez with an interception.
TVYFL novice
Rams 21, Knights 6
Quentin Clark had 107 yards rushing to lead the Knights.
Devon Richardson rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown and Hunter Steele added 52 yards on the ground.
The Ripon defense was led by Mario Garcia with five tackles and a fumble recovery.

Knights vs. Rams
The Knights held the rams to just one touchdown.
Mason Durao, Alex Rader, Carmelo Rodriguez, Christian Chavez, Jax Booth, Nate New, Anthony Alves, Logan Qualls, Keegan Kosaka, and Van Hendrix led the Ripon defense.
Landon Corcoran, Gavin Decena, and Kaeo Sanchez each had a Knights touchdown running behind the great blocking of Dylan Parker, Wyatt Prime, Jesse Walker, Jaiden Huber, Alex Bettencourt, Caelan Johnston, Andrew Riberiro, Mason Brum, Jaiden Chandar and Even Gyger.
