Harper nails 1st home run at refurbished Morenzone

Tyres Harper hit the first home run out of the newly refurbished Morenzone Field on Wednesday to lead the Pirates to a 17-7 win over the Nationals in Northgate Little League junior division action.

Jamari Milligan, Tyres Harper, Raymond Navarro and Asiah Scott took turns on the mound for the Pirates. Gary Alexander, Fernando Sergua and Gabe Stokes hit well for the Pirates as did Becky McCologe for the Nationals. Roy Salangio pitched well for the Nationals.



Majors

Giants 10, Pirates 8

Victor Alonzo was 4 for 4 with three home runs and six RBI for the Giants.

Also for the Giants Preston Darter had a two-run double and George Gaytan an RBI single. Ryan Borgeson had two hits and scored a pair of runs. 

AAA

Indians 9, Orioles 7

P.J. Pimentel had two amazing grabs at second base for the Orioles and teammate Aiden Castello had a game-changing two-RBI single.

Tigers 16, Orioles 4

Ivan Vieira pitched a no-hitter into the fourth inning for the Tigers.

The Tigers had clutch hitting from Devon Montalvo, Andrew Guzman and catcher Shane Luevano.
