Ripon man, arrested for sexual battery on a child

RIPON — A 64-year-old Ripon man was arrested Monday for the alleged lewd and lascivious abuse of a child under 14 years old in addition to a single count of sexual battery with restraint.

Ronald Glenn Bristow was arrested at his apartment at about 8 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Robert Avenue. The victim and the parents had been interviewed during the investigation.  Ripon Police spokesman First Sergeant Steve Merchant said that at this time due to an ongoing investigation no further information in the case is being released.

Bristow is being held in the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp in lieu of $275,000 bail.  He is scheduled to appear at the Manteca Branch of the San Joaquin County Superior Court on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
