Finally, the Manteca Unified School District’s board of trustees will handle matters before the public on the first floor of the new administration building tonight.
During the 7 p.m. open session, new board member Rex Holiday along with President Wendy King and Michael Seelye will be administered the oath of office.
Holiday, who replaces Dale Fritchen as Area 1 representative, along with Seelye (Area III), ran unopposed during the recent election. King (Area V) held on to her post by beating out former board member Patricia Glock-McKillip.
Trustees could also choose another president, vice president, and clerk during the reorganization of the board.
As for district matters, the board could consider approving an agreement with the City of Lathrop regarding sewer and waste water disposal at the new Lathrop High.
Trustees will also discuss and give staff directions on the Level 1 budget cuts. Included are several vice principal positions and district-level personnel cuts.
In addition, the board will consider, review and discuss options for the French Camp School joint-use multi-purpose room / gymnasium listed on the voter-approved Measure M school bond.
