Cast of 60+ for Cornerstone presentation

Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr. is coming to the Cornerstone Community Theater.

The roles are plentiful. In this case, a cast of over 60 have been rehearsing for the three-day performance on Friday, July 27, through Sunday, July 29.

Alice in Wonderland Jr., under the direction of Michealle Hoag – Bailey Dokoozlian is the art director/stage manager, Emile Reese is the tech director, Kristin Scott is the music director, Joy Simi is the choreographer, and Atlantah Flora is handling costumes – is a fast-paced take on the classic tale by Lewis Carroll, starring Chloe Beachler as Alice, Abby Reif as Small Alice, and Lisha Hammack as Tall Alice.

Cornerstone is located at 17900 Comconex Road in Manteca. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $15 for preferred seating.

Opening night is Friday, July 27, at 7 o’clock.

Two shows are planned for Saturday, July 28, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

An encore performance is scheduled for Sunday, July 29, at 4 p.m.

Alice’s journey begins innocently as she chases the White Rabbit (Dylan Owens). From there, she encounters the Dodo Bird (Josiah Reif), Tweedle Dee (Madison McGuire) and Tweedle Dum (Madison Daly), the Caterpillar (Gabrielle Martin), and the Queen of Hearts (Jenna Kirchner).

Other characters include the Cheshire Cat 1 (Hailey Hoy), Cheshire Cat 2 (Arabella Hoit) and Cheshire Cat 3 (Kaylee Hutzler), Doorknob (Cole Flores), Rose (Kendal Ewing), Violet (Rachel Schmidt), Petunia (Payton Mahoney), Lily (Eleanor Thompson), Daisy (Madilyn Garrison), Mad Hatter (Raymond Martinez), March Hare (Benjamin Parker), Doormouse (David Wyatt III), King of Hearts (Kaden McGuire), Ace (Jayden Cody), Two of Clubs (Kennedy Daly), and Three of Hearts (Ethan Williams), to name a few.
