The City of Ripon continues to keep close tabs on water usage.
At Tuesday’s Ripon City Council meeting, Director of Public Works James Pease provided the conservation numbers for July.
Residents managed to conserve up to 15 percent, using pre-drought July 2013 groundwater levels to make the baseline comparison.
Usage was up 6 percent higher when compared to July 2023 water conservation figures.
Ripon will continue to enforce a three-days-a-week watering schedule throughout the summer months, with those living in odd-ending numbered addresses allowed to water their landscape on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Residents in homes with even-ending numbered addresses can do likewise on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
No watering is allowed between 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. or 48 hours following any measurable rain fall.
