The Ripon Farmers Market returns next week.

Beginning Thursday, May 5, the weekly free event will once again be held in the Studio Joy parking lot, 929 W. Main St.

Over 40 vendors along with live music, multiple food trucks, a beer garden, and plenty of fresh and organic produce along with unique artisan vendors and live arts demonstrations will be featured.

All vendor fees will benefit Garden Joy, a nonprofit community garden.

Founded in 2016, Garden Joy was built to cultivate wellness and community via hands-on garden program.

Local youngsters, in particular, benefit from this program by learning how to garden, including planting and harvesting produce, in turn, donating what’s grown here to local food pantries.

In addition, Garden Joy offers a children’s education programs each month.

The Ripon Farmers Market is scheduled each Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. through 8 p.m., from May and the summer months through Sept. 29.
