When Tina Burch started at Doctors Hospital of Manteca in August 1991, she was still completing her associate degree in nursing at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton.
Thirty-five years later on August 19, Burch has risen all the way from nurse tech to the top leadership position at the 73-bed acute care hospital, where she has served in the combined role of CEO and CNO since September 2024.
Burch’s remarkable career trajectory has given her a unique insight into the challenges facing healthcare, hospital leaders, and how to work collaboratively with her medical staff.
“As CEO and CNO, I am tasked with balancing strategic leadership with clinical oversight,” said Burch. “This dual role helps me to foster a culture of collaboration and open communication between our administrative, ancillary, and clinical teams to help ensure safe quality patient care to the communities that we serve.”
Burch’s career at DHM has been marked by a willingness to take on leadership roles that have kept her challenged and engaged while furthering her education. She obtained both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing while working full-time.
“I am proud to serve the community that I grew up in and to lead Doctors Hospital of Manteca through exciting and challenging healthcare changes. This community has an outstanding medical staff, and I am excited to continue to work closely with them.” Burch said.
