The Manteca Autism Resource Festival followed by the first Movie in the Park of the Summer takes place Saturday at Woodward Park.
The free festival starts at 3 p.m. and is presented by the Ivy League in conjunction with Manteca Recreation & Community Services.
It includes a one-mile autism hero walk, sensory kids zone, food trucks, car show, vendors, education resources, and presentation of the autism award.
The featured event — the Hero Walk — has a $12 entry fee for adults and a $10 entry fee for children 12 and under.
The Movies in the Parks event starts at 6 p.m.
There will be food trucks, live music, vendors, activities, and games.
The “Minecraft” movie starts at sundown.
People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and sun umbrellas.
Entrance to Movies in the Park is free.
Music on Maple Thursday
The next Manteca Recreation & Community Services’ Music on Maple series takes place Thursday, June 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the 100 block of North Maple Avenue in downtown Manteca.
It’s Jammin’ Manteca reggae night. The evening will include an open skate.
There will be a band, vendor booths, food trucks, a beer garden, and more.
