Hutch, born on May 5, 1941, in Newton County, MO, to Philip and Kathern Renner Hutchison during WWII, passed on July 1, 2026, in Elko, NV, at 85.

At four he traveled with mom and stepdad, Kathern and Thomas A. Rosendale, to California’s Central Valley. The family planted roots in Manteca, where he spent most of his life until Alzheimer’s progressed and he joined his sister in Elko, NV.

Memories of childhood included welcoming brother and sister, Thomas L. Rosendale (Paula) of FL; Kathy Frederick (Will) of NV, and enjoying grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and a friendly community of fellow new arrivals to California.

A gifted electrical contractor, Hutch dedicated much of his career to serving agricultural establishments in the San Joaquin Valley. Known for craftsmanship and a sly sense of humor, he built lasting relationships with customers. His passion for agriculture began with 4–H, where he thrived as a junior leader and All–Star recipient. This love persisted into adulthood on their property alongside his children while also imparting lessons in electrical work and business.

Hutch’s creative spirit shone through in both professional endeavors and the home he designed with wife, Sharon Yochum Hutchison (d.2011). A lover of country western music and chocolate peanut butter ice cream, he cherished time with extended family and friends. Events benefiting children’s medical needs were important to him.

He is also survived by his children: Sharon Kathern Hutchison “Katie”, OK; Claud Stanley Ty Hutchison, CA; and Joseph Jung “Jay” Hutchison, CA; an “adopted son,” Bill Henry, CA. His legacy continues through 8 grandchildren, 16 great– grandchildren, and one great– great–grandchild.
