The Ripon Police Department will be hosting a Bicycle Rodeo in the rear parking lot of the Ripon Community Center on Saturday, May 18.

The Ripon Police Department will be conducting a pair of Bicycle Rodeos this month.

The first of the two will take place on Saturday, May 18, at the Ripon Community Center.

No registration will be required at the event scheduled from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the rear lot of the City of Ripon facility located at 334 Fourth St.

The clinic is designed to teach those in attendance the skills and precautions to safely ride a bike.

“You just need to show up with a bicycle and a helmet,” said police Wednesday via social media.

The Bicycle Rodeo will be spearheaded by School Resource Officer Gordon West.

He’s also scheduled to lead the second Bicycle Rodeo on June 18 – also a Saturday – at the Rage Volleyball lot at the Mistlin Sports Park.
