One new teacher with six more added to the substitute pool.

They were among the new hires listed at last week’s Ripon Unified school board meeting.

Trustees were recommended to approve the hirings of certificated teacher Michael Regalo along with certificated substitutes’ Morgan West, Kanani Drummon, Kelsey Inderbitzin, Kallista Yan, Christina Riggs, and Kyndall Vargas.

Others on the new hires list were night custodians’ Luis Castro (assigned to Colony Oak Elementary School) and Taylor Wilks (Weston Elementary School); substitute custodian Mark Stewart; instructional aide Alexandra Riley (Ripona Elementary School); instructional aide substitute Monica Benavides Corona; afterschool assistant Anita Vallejo (Ripon Afterschool Program); and yard duty substitute Marina Sharouty.

In addition, elected leaders were scheduled to OK one retirement and two resignations.
