A burglary in progress in the 1200 block of Nana Place was thwarted when the homeowner arrived at the residence at about 3:30 Monday afternoon and neighbors teamed up to chase down one of the two suspects. A retired Sheriff’s deputy, Don Tisher, who lives around the corner on Nicole Way, said he was relaxing, just watching TV in his family room when he saw a Mexican male run across his backyard like someone was chasing him. Tisher went outside and challenged the man, who then ran toward the front gate to get out of the yard.
