The Manteca Assembly #38, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, will pay a special tribute today for Brittney Clements.
She’s involved in the Grand Executive Committee for the Rainbow Girls, serving as the Grand Historian and the Grand Representative to South Carolina and Virginia.
The reception for Clements, who is a 2010 graduate of Sierra High, is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Manteca Masonic Lodge.
A Rainbow Girl since 2003, Clements has served in all but three of the offices in her assembly – some positions on multiple occasions – and had a string of perfect attendance for five years. She was also involved in many other capacities within the organization, including a member of the state choir and an aide and assistant to the state leadership along with the state convention known as the Grand Assembly.
Clements comes from a Masonic family. Her father is a Mason (Tyrian Lodge) and her brother is a past master councilor of the Manteca chapter, Order of DeMolay.
She’s a past divisional sweetheart and princess for the Northern California DeMolay Association.
Clements is currently an active member of the Jobs Daughters, Bethel 110, in Tracy.
She’s employed at the Department of Defense as an administrative assistant and is the recipient of a Rainbow Girls scholarship. Clements is attending college with the goal of obtaining a degree in business.
Soon she’ll bid farewell to Rainbow Girls, which is a non-profit character-building community service organization for those ages 11 to 20.
Youngsters between the ages of 8 through 11 can take part in many of the Rainbow Girls activities as Pledge groups. Included is the annual gift wrapping marathon at the Manteca Kmart store for the upcoming holiday.
The reception for Clements is expected to attract folks from throughout the state.
