The Austin Road Business Park is a planned 1,049-acre development located just outside of Ripon along Highway 99.

The freeway access and location make this plan ideal for corporations to consolidate distribution facilities. One developer even noted that the planned business park is in similar position to that of Spreckels Park about 13 years ago during a search for a seed tenant.

At Tuesday’s Ripon City Council meeting, Ken Zuidervaart, who is Director of Planning, is scheduled to make a presentation on this City of Manteca project during the 7 p.m. open session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

Other agenda items include:

• Zuidervaart providing a fee schedule for the resolution that’s up for adoption, allowing the city to execute documentation such as finances, reconveyances, subordinations, and collection of payments to the former Redevelopment Agency.

• Mary Nicholson of Healing in Motion proclaiming May 23 as Stroke Awareness Day.

• Bill payment schedule going to RTD San Joaquin Regional Transit District for the Blossom Express’s bus driver services for March ($1,325.50); Neil O. Anderson & Associates for two invoices tallying $3,366 for the softball fields at the Mistlin Sports Complex; Polhemus Enterprise on a revised design ($350) at the Mistlin softball fields’ and O.C. Jones & Sons, Inc. for a process payment on parks ($510,992.24) and water ($5,890).

In addition, elected leaders will take part in the Affordable Care Act workshop as presented by the Bohannon Insurance group in the Council Chambers beginning at 5:30.
