Candidates for two administrative positions were interviewed earlier this week at the Ripon Unified district office.

Trustees, in closed session, screened the finalists for Coordinator of Instructional Improvement.

In this post, they’re looking for someone to not only work with the school principals, but coach teachers in lesson planning, data interpretation, instructional techniques, and other staff development, the job description said.

The finalists were required to have a valid administrative credential or interning in an administrative credential program. They also need at least five years experience as a classroom teacher and three years experience providing coaching, in-services and / or model lessons.

The school board also met with the finalists for an elementary school principal.

The office of Superintendent Louise Johnson said Wednesday that no hiring for Coordinator of Instructional Improvement or elementary school principal was made that day.
