Ann “Virginia” Halseth died on August 29, 2026, in Ripon, California at the age of 95. Virginia was born on June 17, 1931, to John “Jack” and Julia Nelson on their farm in Plaza, North Dakota.

   She was the youngest and last survivor of six siblings which included Ralph, Bob, Elise (Solmonson), Jean (Otterness) and Doris (Lindvig).

  She and Warren were married for 46 years before his passing. They are survived by their four children; Don wife Leslie, Lindee (Schwartz) husband Bob, Carol (Garke) husband Denis, and Richard wife DeeDee. They also were blessed with a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

   The Halseth family moved from North Dakota to California in 1963. Virginia worked as the church secretary at United Lutheran Church for 14 years before she retired. She has since made her home in Ripon. Virginia’s family wishes to thank her friends and the caregivers at Bethany Home for their love and support.
