Bonnie Ellen Cooper- Winther was born April 3, 1952 and entered into rest on August 24, 2017. 
   Bonnie was born in Angels Camp, California. She was considered the coolest mom on the block with her welcoming heart and smile.  She had the amazing ability to sing, garden, sew and cook. She grew up in the Shenandoah Valley on the H.F. Cooper Ranch for the majority of her life. She was an active 4-H member and captured many awards at the Amador County Fair. She attended elementary school at the Shenandoah Valley Schoolhouse where she was taught by her grandmother Mary Davis. She attended Amador County High School and graduated in 1960. During her high school years, she enjoyed being a mascot cheerleader, Senior Class Vice President, a member of the Girls Athletic Association, playing tennis, and participating in FHA with Louise Hall’s cooking extravaganzas.  Bonnie attended Modesto Junior College where she received her A.A. Degree, and it was during that time where she met and married A.C. Coburn. The couple established their home in Manteca where they had three children. Bonnie landed a job Mary Graham Hall helping foster youth and later worked for Drs. Harvey O’Dell, Rudd, Stellhorn and Jolly as an optometric assistant. Bonnie loved music and enjoyed CCR, Merle Haggard, Neil Diamond, the Eagles and listening to her brother Dick Cooper strum and sing with the guitar. Later in life Bonnie returned to Shenandoah Valley where she enjoyed working back on ranch, belonging to Shenandoah Community Club and baking cookies for Cooper Vineyards wine club events. 
   She is preceded in death by her parents Hank F. and Ruth Cooper and her husband Lyman Winther.
   She is survived by her brother George Richard “Dick” Cooper, her three daughters, Sheri Coburn (Peter Miramontes), Kimberley Coburn and Wendy Velasquez (David Velasquez), her six grandsons Scott Mackey, Tyler Velasquez, Ryan Mackey, Deven Yeager, and Mason Velasquez, her step-children Russell Winther and Loralee Naeb, and grandchildren Jason, Shelby and Shasta Winther, and Daryl Fenn.
  An open house celebration of life will be held at the Shenandoah Community Club on September 30, 2017 from 11-2.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shenandoah Valley Community Club, P.O. Box 207, Plymouth, CA 95669.
