Chris was born and raised in Tracy, CA and moved to Manteca in 1996.
   Early in life, Chris showed a unique aptitude for taking apart, fixing, and putting back together any piece of machinery (his mother feared for her clocks and toasters!).
   Chris started his plumbing career working for Bud’s plumbing.  In the mid 1990’s he started his own business, Lowery’s Plumbing.  He worked the business for several years performing service and repair and new construction.  He then went to work for American Construction as a plumber and after two decades he was running multiple commercial construction projects.
One of the highlights of his career was in November 2012 - January 2013 he worked for the National Science Foundation at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. There, he maintained all the equipment while working under the ice at -55 degrees. While there, he was able to “walk around the world” in a few short steps.
   When he returned he joined his son, Michael, to help him build his new company, Lowery-Pena Construction. There, Chris served as the Project Operations Manager specializing in multi-unit housing, commercial retail, mixed-use, and rehabilitation projects.
   Chris was a man of faith and was very active in all activities at Prayer Valley Family Worship Church. Chris and his family fit right in and made many memories with Pastor Ron and the Taylor family.  Chris enjoyed working on and riding dirt bikes, motorcycles, and dune buggies. He loved to buy the latest gadgets and fabricate parts for his toys.
As a “family” man, Chris was always there when any member of his family needed help. He was an all-out cheerleader for his children and grandchildren, attending baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball games. This poem from his daughter, Tiffany, best describes him:
A rock strength to lean upon in time of joy or stress;
An understanding,
loyal soul;
A heart of tenderness, a mind all wisdom, knowing how justice and love
to blend;
A teacher, loving, patient, kind;
A Father and a Friend.
 Chris is survived by his wife and best-friend of 46 years, Gina Lowery, his children, Michael (Nicole), Tiffany, and Crystal (Aaron) Sperry. He was also “Papa” to six grandchildren. He also leaves his siblings, Leanne Lowery, Karen (Joe) Soares, and Kevin (Traci) Lowery.        He was preceded in death by his parents, Roselyn and Harold Lowery.
Family and friends are invited for a memorial service on Saturday, February 20th at 10:30 a.m. located at The Gathering Place Church, 1005 E Pescadero Ave. #145 Tracy, Ca 95304.
