Genevieve (Jennie) Paradiso, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 1. She was born February 18, 1923 in Oakland, to Manuel Cabral and Maria Telles. After graduating from Castlemont High School, Jennie was married to Tony Paradiso for 46 years and lived in San Leandro, Twain Harte, Tracy, Pleasanton and Manteca,

She is the loving mother of Cory (deceased), Gerri (Bob), Dorene (Pat), Gene (deceased), Jeff (Marcy), George (deceased), Debbie (Don), and Mark and the adored grandmother of Dean, Danny, Corine, Chase, Amber, Crystin, Anthony, Alex, Daryl, Michael, Monica, Aaron, David (deceased) and Daniel. She was also loved and will be missed by her many great-grandchildren.

Jennie was a homemaker, but she dabbled in the real estate field for awhile. In her early years, Jennie loved hosting parties for family and friends, team bowling, dancing, crafting, sewing, knitting, and showering all of the children with many gifts for every occasion. Her greatest gift was passing on family values and traditions.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 3999 Bernal Ave., Pleasanton. Reception following at Trinity Lutheran Church of Pleasanton Fellowship Hall, 1225 Hopyard Road, Pleasanton. Cremation at Graham-Hitch Mortuary, 4167 1st Street, Pleasanton; (925) 846-5624.
