Jose Raul Alvarez Graciano
November 14, 1933-January 7, 2015
graciano 001 BW

Jose Raul Alvarez Graciano, 81, entered into rest surrounded by his family on January 7, 2015 in Manteca. He was born in Mexico on November 14, 1933.
From the mountains of ValParaiso, Zacatecas, Mexico, to the streets of Ciudad Juarez to Carlsbad, New Mexico to El Paso, Texas to Ripon and finally to Manteca, CA.
Raul was a hard worker of the land, with a green thumb.  He liked to keep himself busy.  Pops, as his children loving called him, was a stern man with a lot of pride.  He was not concerned about collecting material things.  He was content with what he had.
In his later years, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into his heart.  Yappa, as his grandkids used to call him is being missed by his loving family and his dog Lulu who still cries and looks for him.  Raul kept his dignity and never complained about anything throughout his battle with cancer.
“FEAR KNOCKED ON THE DOOR, FAITH ANSWERED, THERE WAS NO BODY THERE.”
In heaven he joins his parents, Jose Oseas and Jovita Graciano, his brother Eraclio “Rocky” and his beloved son Raul Graciano Jr. He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years Maria Graciano of Manteca, his children, Joe, Frank, Gil, Hugh (Sheri) and Rocky Graciano, his daughter Lilia (David) Simmons. In addition he was blessed with six grandchildren, Ashleigh, Lucas, Alex, Cody, Vinnie and Sophia.
The Graciano family would like to thank Valley Cancer Medical Group for their professional help.  Special thanks to Dr. N. David, Dr. Purewal, Dr. Wadiwala, Dr. Prescott, Dr. Michael Davis and their staff and associates, the lab people, Doctors Hospital of Manteca.  Special thanks to Hospice of San Joaquin and to Walgreen Pharmacy.
Mr. Graciano was laid to rest privately. For condolences to the family please visit our website at www.plfryandson.com search obituaries.
