Larry E. Sevor, 71, entered into rest on Friday, December 18, in Manteca. He was born on August 28, 1938 in Madison, Florida to the late Mr. and Mrs. Felix and Hazel Sevor. He joins his parents in heaven as well as his siblings; James Lowell Sevor and Sandra Elaine Sevor. Larry was a resident of Manteca for 47 years.

Mr. Sevor is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Arleen Sevor. His children are; Janet Grossnicklaus and husband Dan of Fresno, Joan Booke and husband Douglas of Tracy. Mr. Sevor is survived by his brother, Pat Sevor and wife, Joyce of Madison, Florida. In addition he was blessed with nephew Sam Sevor and fiancée, Jamie Michalowski and niece Heather Crook and husband, Joe, all of Tallahassee, Florida, and numerous cousins.

Larry retired after 39 years as a network supervisor for the telephone industry which 32 of those years were with Contel Telephone Company in Manteca. He enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time in the mountains. He also enjoyed gardening which was a way for Larry to relax. He treasured his family. Each and every family member held a special place in Larry’s heart. His giving and loving character will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Sevor’s family wishes to thank Dr. Wolf and his staff and the ICU nursing staff at Doctors Hospital of Manteca for the care given to Larry during his long illness.
