Lois Fitzgerald, 69, passed away peacefully in her home November 20. Mrs. Fitzgerald was born October 7, 1940 in Norwood, Massachusetts. She joins her sister in heaven Mary Palilunis.

Before retirement Lois worked for the Massachusetts State Hospital for 20 years as a PBX operator. While living in Massachusetts Lois was a Sunday school teacher and served on the Deacon board at her local church. She was extremely talented in knitting, painting, and ceramics. Lois had a very loving and caring personality always putting others before herself. Lois always thought of the glass always being half way full instead of half empty a very positive thinker who would always found the better side to everything. Lois was an incredibly devoted wife who loved her husband Kevin dearly.
Lois leaves behind her loving husband of 9 years Kevin Fitzgerald; her 5 children, John Carroll and wife Wanda of Massachusetts, Jeffrey Carroll of Massachusetts, Robin Tyo and husband Steven of Rhode Island, Deanna Hovey of Rhode Island and  Steven Carroll of Manteca. She was blessed by 8 grandchildren: Jason Carroll, John Carroll, Michelle Tyo, Stephen Tyo, Andrea Carroll, Steven Carroll, Jeff, Phillip  and Seth Carroll and 3 great-grandchildren Laura Tyo, Vera Tyo and Cameron Carroll.

A memorial service for Lois will be held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. An online guest book is available at www.plfryandson.com.
