Maxine passed away on  Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at Bethany Home  in Ripon. She was 88 years old. She  was a resident of Ripon for the past three years and a prior resident  of Escalon; she was married to the late  Gaither Loewenstein. She is survived by her sisters Verda Hollingsworth and Verla Long, both of Ripon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Marguerite Judt and Jean Specker.

 Her  Celebration of Life will be on Friday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. at Saron Lutheran Church, 1742 North Street in Escalon; burial will be private for her family at Skylawn Memorial Park in San  Mateo.  In loving memory donations may be sent to Saron Lutheran  Church or to a charity of your choice.
