Patrick Stephen McGinnis, 59, passed away on August 5, 2018 in Stockton, California. Patrick was born to John and Barbara McGinnis on November 22, 1959 in Ottawa, Illinois.  In 1962, his parents relocated with him and his brother Robert McGinnis to California, first to Modesto in 1962 then finally settling in Manteca in 1969.  There he attended and graduated from Shasta Grammar School followed by Manteca High School. Patrick worked for Libby Owen Glass Company in Lathrop. While auto glass was his career he had a passion for electronics and spent a lot of his free time fixing and tinkering with computers, radios, and the like. This led him to leave California and attend DeVry Electronics College in Phoenix, Arizona. He continued to work as an auto glass installer while there. After several years, he returned to California and carried on with the auto glass industry working throughout Northern California. This line of work also took him all the way to Columbia, Mississippi where he also became an avid fisherman and hunter. Anyone who knew Patrick would say he was very polite, always ready to help, loved exploring the Delta region and to be surrounded by nature, and camping in Yosemite National Park. Patrick has joined his  mother Barbara in Heaven. Patrick is survived by his father John McGinnis, his step-mother Josephine McGinnis, brother Robert McGinnis, nephew Robert, and twin nieces Patricia and Kelly. Your thoughts and prayers for Patrick and his family are appreciated. Graveside services will be held at the Cherokee Memorial Cemetery, Cascade Gardens, Lodi, on Wednesday, August 22 at 10am.
