Royce Allen Nedeleff, 78, entered into rest on October 4, 2010 in Manteca. He was born January 19, 1932 in San Leandro. He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Ruth Nedeleff, as well as brother Donald Lee Nedeleff.
Royce leaves behind a loving family: his wife of 51 years Mrs. Shirley Ann Nedeleff of Manteca. His children Ruth Ann Nedeleff of Manteca, Joyce Ellen Nedeleff of Manteca/Hollywood, and Royce Allen Nedeleff Jr. of Manteca. Royce was a proud grandpa to Fiona Ann Drennan, Anthony Paul Zachariou and Nickolas Royce Shipman. He leaves behind his last surviving brother Paul David Nedeleff of Oxnard.
Mr. Nedeleff was a proud member of Place of Refuge Church of Manteca. He grew up with a strong Christian background and he was always so proud to preach the word of God. He proudly served our country through the United States Army. During his service he became a very talented photographer and artist, a talent that was carried on with his children and grandchildren. His family describes him as one of the smartest person they ever knew; it’s as though he was an encyclopedia. Royce was always well informed and enjoyed reading up on different subjects. Above all he was the best father to his children; he always treasured every moment he spent with them. He especially enjoyed spending time with the love of his life, Shirley. Royce will be deeply missed by all who love him.
Mr. Nedeleff’s services are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Place of Refuge “First Assembly of God” 486 Button Ave, Manteca at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery with full Military Honors date to be announced.
