William “Bill” Myatt, 81, entered into rest on July 14, 2016 in Manteca, CA. He was born on October 7, 1934 in Texas to the late James Myatt and Mattie Smith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Matthew Myatt and sister Sophie Miller.
Mr. Myatt is survived by his loving wife Nancy Myatt, daughter; Melissa Guevara, step-daughter Raina Garrison, granddaughter, Madison Guevara and siblings; James Myatt (Nancy), Linda Johnson and Sandy Hopkins.
Bill grew up in Manteca and graduated from Manteca High School in 1953. He proudly served his county through the United States Navy as a Korean War Veteran. He later attended Chico State University and worked as an Engineer owning and operating Cast in Place Construction in Fresno. Bill was a protectionist when it came to his career as he was most proud of being a part of the creation of the BART station overseeing the quality control of the design. He was an avid animal lover and devoted many hours to the Central California Lab Rescue where he saved 300 dogs in 3 years. Bill was always a positive outgoing guy who never met a stranger. He loved western movies and spending time with his wife. He will be remembered for his zest for life and his unconditional love for people and his fury friends. He will be missed.
P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Myatt family. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA.
