The Northgate Giants scored four runs in the third and sixth innings on the way to a 14-2 win over the Spreckels Park Giants in majors’ action.
n the third, Shane Lewis (2 for 2, triple, four runs, two walks) drove in Alijah Scott for Northgate. Four batters later, Tyler Watkins (2 for 4, three RBI) laced a two-run single.
In the fourth Scott doubled, Lewis walked and Rudy Gutierrez drove in both on a single to push the score to 8-1. Collins Schluer struck out the side in the third and Adan Rosas recorded the final eight outs on the hill with four coming via strikeout.
Red Sox 9, Giants 3
Red Sox Pitchers Daryl Carpenter and Julianna Gaspar combined on the mound for the victory.
Nolan Johnson led the Red Sox at the plate with a triple and a double with Ryan Allen also tripling, getting a walk and two runs. Aiden Pullen and Gaspar both doubled and scored a run.
Max Abrew, Carpenter, Everett Patrick, and Jasen Soiseth all contributed with a base hit and a run scored.
Lincoln Coenenberg (2 for 3, double, triple, RBI, run) and Ryan Alves (1 for 2, double, RBI) led the Giants.
