Ripon celebrated senior night with a dominant 25-17, 25-11, 25-12 sweep of Hilmar on Wednesday.

The Indians finish Trans-Valley League play in second place behind Escalon with a 10-2 record and are 18-10 overall. Fourth-place Hilmar (7-5, 11-14) will join them in the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs starting next week.

Three seniors stood out for Ripon in this regular-season finale. Danika Matuska led the way with nine kills and two blocks. Makenzie Loechler added five kills and five blocks, while Avery McKiernan had six kills.

Kylee Fullmer also swatted six kills. Kaya Whittaker tallied 23 assists, and Kailee Inderbitzin served four aces.

 

Junior varsity

Ripon 2, Hilmar 1

The Indians (10-0, 22-0) completed their bid for perfection but were challenged in the end, holding off Hilmar, 25-17, 22-25, 15-10.

Shayla McKeon led the attack with six kills and four aces, while Katelyn Bogetti contributed 17 assists and three kills.

Amelia Lara added five kills and four digs. Olivia Maragos registered eight digs and four aces. Chloe Lautenslager came up with eight solo blocks/.

 

Freshman

Ripon 2, Hilmar 0

Olivia Taylor tallied six assists and four aces to help the Indians prevail, 25-5, 25-11.

Addison Narajno also had four aces. Ashley Campos picked up four digs.
