The A’s downed the Reds 6-1 in opening major division play Saturday in Northgate Little league action.

Lucas Krenz belted a three-run home run and had five errorless innings for the A’s at second base, striking out the side in the bottom of the sixth.

Logan Souza pitched the first five innings for the A’s, striking out 11. He added a single and a double and stole three bases. 

Royals 3, Cardinals 2

Anthony Enos struck out 10 for the Royals in four innings of work, allowing one run.
