Landon Chamberlain, Michael George and Eli Terpsma combined for eight strikeouts and a mercy-shortened four-hitter to lift the Giants into the Manteca Little League major division championship round with their 13-3 win over the Brewers on Tuesday.
The Giants blew it open with an eight-run bottom of the first inning. Chamberlain also went 2 for 2 with a double and a run on offense. Nate Dorn was 2 for 2 with a double and three runs. JoJo Brizuela plated a pair of runs.
Colton Murillo was productive with his two plate appearances for the Brewers, crushing a two-run homer in the fourth. He also doubled in the second and scored his team’s first run of the game. Mathias Curry was also 2 for 2 from the plate.
The Giants will look to avenge their lone tournament loss against the A’s today at 5:30 p.m. A win for the Giants will force a winner-take-all to be played Thursday.
