STOCKTON. (AP) — Sheldon Neuse hit a walk-off single with one out in the 10th inning, as the Stockton Ports topped the Modesto Nuts 1-0 on Thursday.
Nate Mondou scored the game-winning run after he reached base with a single and advanced to second on a single by Brett Siddall.
Reliever Angel Duno (7-6) went five scoreless innings, allowing four hits while striking out nine and walking two to pick up the win. Matt Walker (3-2) allowed one run and got one out in the California League game.
For the Nuts, Kyle Lewis singled twice, also stealing a base. Modesto was held scoreless for the fourth time this season, while the Stockton staff recorded its seventh shutout of the year.
