Stockton 99 Speedway will wave the green flag on its 77th season opener with a tribute to Norman David on Saturday.

The Pro Late Model division headlines the program with its first of 11 scheduled races on a Stockton 99 schedule that has grown to 24 total events in 2026. The NorCal Legends Series and Fast Kar Solutions Mini Modifieds join the Pro Late Model class to break in Stockton 99’s quarter-mile paved oval.

David, driving the No. 77 Late Model car, became a legend at Stockton 99 racing from the late 1970s into the early 1990s. Mike David, his son and a championship driver and crew chief in his own right, will drive the family car in the season opener, which serves as the first of four tribute nights in 2026. A tribute to Dan Reed is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, with the Ron Strmiska Firecracker 90 on Friday, July 3, and the Night of Champions Tribute to Harry Belletto on Saturday, Aug. 1. All were Stockton 99 track champions.

Ticket prices – unchanged from last season – remain $20 for adults ages 16-59 and $15 for seniors 60 and over, military with an ID and juniors 11-15. Kids 10-and-under are admitted for free. A family four-pack (two adults, two juniors) costs $55. Tickets are available at eventbrite.com and at the track on race day. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 6. Stockton 99 Speedway is located at 4105 N. Wilson Way.

The 2026 season also includes 10 scheduled appearances by the Stockton Late Model division, starting Saturday, March 28, accompanied by the Stockton Mini Stock and Pure Stock classes and the Legends of Kearney Bowl. The Mini Stock and Pure Stock divisions also are scheduled to race 10 events. The Fast Kar Solutions Mini Modifieds are scheduled on 11 programs.

Other special shows include two Nights of Destruction – on Saturdays, May 30 and July 25 – each with a motorcycle stunt show, drift exhibition, spectator drag racing and the ever-popular boat trailer racing. The always-popular Kids Night will be held Saturday, Sept. 26. Also, Cars Tour West pulls into Stockton 99 on Saturday, April 18.

Stockton 99 again has scheduled two championship nights of racing on Saturdays, Oct. 17 and 24. The season culminates Saturday, Nov. 14, with a non-points open race for the Late Model, Legends of 99, Stockton Mini Stock and Fast Kar Solutions Mini Modified divisions.

Stockton 99 Promoter Tony Noceti said he’s looking forward to another season at the racetrack. Noceti and wife Rowena were critically injured in a car accident in late November.

“We’re thinking of all our friends and families,” he said. “Without them, we wouldn’t be here today.”
