Lathrop was eliminated from the Little League District 67 9-10 All-Star Tournament on Tuesday in a 10-0 four-inning contest by Tracy American A on Bassi Field at Northgate Little League.

Lathrop did not get a runner on base until there were two out in the fourth inning when Juanito Serrano’s grounder to third was misplayed. Lyon Colon followed with a solid double to the left-field fence, but the inning ended on the next batter.

Luis Hernandez added a single for Lathrop in the fifth.

Noah Martinez pitched a shutout fourth inning for Lathrop, pitching out of a bases-loaded jam.

Manteca took an early lead Monday and held on for the consolation win at Monticello school in Tracy.

Manteca led 5-2 after three innings, but Weston Ranch kept on the attack and scored two in the bottom of the sixth to threaten but ran out of time.

Briggs Alavezos got the win in 1 2/3 innings of work with three strikeouts and no runs allowed. Ryan Zimmerman closed out the game for Manteca.

Zimmerman’s prowess was not limited to the mound as he made two highlight-reel plays at shortstop. Searcy (two doubles, RBI, run) and Kovacs (double, two RBI, run) were each 2 for 4. Jackson Brunn was 2 for 2 with a walk and an RBI.
