SALIDA — The Manteca Little League 9-10 year old All-Star squad came up short during the semifinals of the District 67 All-Star Tournament in Salida on Saturday.

However, head coach Jason Genilla’s squad is still not out after suffering an 11-4 loss against Tracy American, who advanced to Wednesday’s championship game.

Manteca, who received RBIs from Garren Genilla and Harley Boynton, got knocked into the consolation championship and will play Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in Salida.

Isaac Searcy recorded a hit in the first inning for Manteca, who fell to 3-1 in the tournament. Searcy also scored a run, as did Ryan Zimmermann, Ethan Johnson and William Rocha.

Manteca never led and Tracy American put up three runs in each of the first three innings.
