Modesto Broncos blank Jags

The Manteca Jaguars managed only 121 yards of offense in a 22-0 loss to the Modesto Broncos in Cen-Cal action Saturday at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium.

Miguel Sequira had 11 yards on 61 carries for Manteca and was 3 of 11 passing for 35 yards. Gabriel Ramirez was in on seven tackles for the Jaguars.

 

Junior varsity

Jr. Buffaloes 28, 49ers 6

Jacob DeJesus was a star on both sides of the ball Saturday for the Manteca Jr. Buffaloes, scoring on a 53-yard run and gaining 165 yards while forcing a fumble and making an interception at Guss Schmiedt Field.

Tyler Garlets (75 yards passing, fumble recovery) and Kyle Jackson (46-yard passing) each had a rushing touchdown and Jacob Sandoval added another score. Garret Genilla had a 46-yard pass reception and three tackles for negative yards and Issac Searcy deflected one pass and intercepted another.

 

Pee Wee

Jaguars 24, Broncos 13

Zane Salgado ran for 127 yards and a touchdown for the Jaguars and Peyton Graham and Kaiona Ontai each had spectacular touchdown catches.

Kole Kalin returned an interception for a 45-yard touchdown and Evyn White had two interceptions. Jason Raucello II had 101 passing yards with two touchdowns.

The offensive and defensive line led by Dylan Zimmerman, Alfredo Ramirez, Luke Samson, Jesus Gomez, Alex Gatty and Marcus Brennan dominated the Broncos and shut them out in the second half. Ricardo Villalvazo had four open-field tackles for Manteca.

 

Jr. Buffaloes 32, 49ers 6

Bryan Howe and Dylan Deprater each had six tackles for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Eduardo Lomeli had 85 yards rushing and three tackles and Daniel Rushing and Kenyan Bradford contributed to the Manteca ground game.

 

Rookies

Peyton Nieman and Gage Pfeifer combined for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Nieman (three tackles) had one touchdown and 125 rushing yards while Pfeifer (two tackles) had 190 yards and two touchdowns.

Anthony Nixon had 11 tackles for Manteca, Bryson McMichael six, Logan House (fumble recovery) three and Nickolas Garcia two.

 

Jaguars

Tony Cuevas, Moises Alverado and Kash King had four tackles for the Jaguars.

Gabe Arteaga had three tackles, a sack and a forced fumble for Manteca.
