Manteca Little League’s major-division Brewers have had two outstanding pitching efforts this past week.
Dylan Gross twirled no-hit shutout in last Saturday’s 10-0 drubbing of the A’s. Not to be outdone, Jacob Brewers pitched a perfect game on Thursday as the Brew Crew routed the Giants, 10-0.
Gross struck out 10 and walked three in his masterpiece. The Brewers gave him more than enough of a lead with their seven-run rally in the third inning. Pascual Vasquez stroked two hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead the offense. Ryan Zimmerman also doled out two knocks.
Moon fanned nine hitters in his rare feat on Thursday. Ryan Ward’s two-run double followed by Gross’ two-run homer in the second inning powered the Brewers to an early lead.
