Oscar Guitron qualified for the USA Track & Field Region 14 Junior Olympics in three events and shattered personal records in each this past weekend in Hayward.Guitron was one of nine members of the Manteca Track Club to compete in the Pacific Association Junior Olympic Trials at Chabot College, and six of them are advancing. He placed third in the 11-12 boys division 400-meter dash with a time of 1 minute, 1.88 seconds — almost 2 full seconds better than previous best. Guitron also excelled in the middle distances, finishing sixth in the 800 (2:31.8) and ninth 1,500 (5:06.26).
