The Delta Rebels traveled across town to Sierra High last Saturday to square off with the Manteca Chargers in their annual intra-city clash.The Rebels’ won the junior varsity contest 20-15 to improve to 4-1 in the South Conference and 5-1 overall in Delta Youth Football League action. The Chargers fell to 1-3 in conference play, 2-4 overall.Christopher Contreras racked up 124 all-purpose yards, scored a touchdown and aided the defense with an interception to lead Delta. Michael Balland hooked up with Michael Sucher for a 43-yard pass touchdown pass play.The defense was paced by Thomas Cann’s five tackles and two sacks.
