Stadtler Postma threw for nearly 200 yards for the Ripon varsity Knights in a 22-18 loss to the Denair Lions in Trans-Valley Youth Football League action.
Postma was 11 of 19 passing for 177 yards. Xavier Powell pulled in seven receptions for 134 yards and Chris Alfaro contributed on offense.
Ripon’s Max Abrew (forced fumble, fumble recovery), Drew Walker and Ryder Shelton made eight tackles each.

Knights 39, Lions 7
Ripon’s Hudson Postma scored all three times he touched the ball.
Postma totaled 97 yards on scoring runs of 15, 29 and 53 yards. Brayden Camara gained 105 yards on nine carries with two touchdowns including a 65-yard breakout touchdown. Tyce Thompson had a 70-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Chase Rubenaker made 14 tackles to lead the Knights defense that saw 18 Ripon players make stops. Austin Stirrat added seven tackles, Adrian Anaya and Brayden Camara added six stops, Grayson Feldhaus (two fumble recoveries) four and Shooter Bruns (fumble recovery) three. David Wegner forced a fumble.
Junior novice
Knights 23, Lions 6
Twenty Ripon players carried the ball.
Lucas Durao carried the ball twice for the Knights with touchdown runs of 40 and 54 yards. Eli Browne (four carries, 139 yards) scored on a 57-yard run, Nikolai Gurbunoff (two 2 carries, 48 yards) had a 42-yard touchdown run and Jaxson Quilantang scored from 22 yards with Chase Johnson, Harvin Chohan, Aiden John and Logan Stirrat contributing to the Ripon offense.
Durao made 10 tackles and an interception. Nikolai Gorbunoff (forced fumble, fumble recovery) made seven stops, Chase Johnson five with three each for Jaxson Quilantang (forced fumble), Aiden John (fumble recovery) and Noa Carter. Drew Alaniz, Johnny Mulkey, Aiden Anaya, and Luke Hernandez all contributed to the Knights defense.

Stockton Jr. Yellowjackets varsity 12, Manteca Chargers 6
Manteca’s Isaiah Middleton scored on a fourth-quarter 49-yard run.
Middleton gained 67 yards on four carries and Colton Madden had three carries for 20 yards.
Stephen Graham and Colton Madden made five stops each for the Chargers. Middleton and Darren Ellis each made three tackles and an interception with two tackles each for Dominic Balugo and Jayden Omadhebo.

Caleb Tarr scored the lone Manteca touchdown.
Jameson Hicks gained 60 yards on four carries for the Chargers.
Manteca’s Ethan Serrano made five tackles, Dominick Jimenez four, Israel Juarez-Salgado three and Kingston Johnson two.

Manteca’s Jeremiah Silva scored on one of his two carries.
Silva scored on a 6-yard run. Arieon Shortridge had four carries for 42 yards and Jayden Shortridge gained 30 yards on two carries.
Xavier Duvernay and Jeremiah Silva made three tackles apiece with two for Arieon Shortridge. Christian Porter recovered a fumble and Diesel Spangler forced a fumble.
Junior Novice
Jr. Yellowjackets 45, Chargers 12
Manteca’s Jharon Jackson ran for two touchdowns and more than 100 yards.
Jackson (five carries, 130 yards) scored on runs of 3 and 65 yards. Jameson Vargas added 30 yards on two carries.
Shayne Sutherland Jr. made two tackles for the Chargers with defensive contributions from Jackson, Vargas, Aldo Miramontes and Choyce Galtney.
