LATHROP — Leadoff batter Isaih Ford of  Spreckles Park Little League reached on an error and scored on Joshua Brake’s first-inning single for the lone Dodgers run of the game in a mercy-shortened 11-1 victory for the Tracy National Rockies in the District 67 Minor-Division Tournament of Champions at Mossdale Landing Community Park.

The Dodgers slide into the consolation bracket and square off with Tracy American tonight at 5:30 in an elimination game.

After the first three Dodgers runners reached base, Tracy hurler Matthew Pombo buckled down on the Spreckles Park batters, pitching into the fifth inning and striking out six and after the first inning no Dodgers runner got past second base.

Brake and Gage Cordova had back-to-back singles in the first inning, Eric Karim singled in the second as did Frankie Romo in the fourth for all of the offense for Spreckles Park.

Today at 5:30 the Dodgers will play Tracy American in an elimination game.

Manteca 11, Salida 7

Garren Genilla of the Manteca Diamondbacks took the mound with two out in the fourth inning and a one-run lead over the Salida Longhorns and got a strikeout to end the inning and added five more – including striking out the side in the sixth – to lead the Diamondbacks.

Manteca’s Domenic Krippene broke a 7-7 tie in the top of the fourth when he singled with two outs and took advantage of multiple Salida miscues and came all the way around to score and give the Diamondbacks the lead for good.

William Rocha was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a triple for Manteca and Diego Garcia had a two-RBI double. Teammates Armit Dehal doubled and Isaac Searcy singled and scored two runs.

The Diamondbacks face Tracy National Friday at 5:30 p.m. for a spot in the championship round.
