Looking for the ultimate party, but don’t want to go too far? Ring in the New Year with familiar sights and pleasures. Modesto offers several large facilities hosting their own New Year’s Eve parties for young and old alike.

DoubleTree by Hilton in Modesto is celebrating the New Year in style as they put on one of their biggest parties of the year, the New Year’s Eve Extravaganza.

Beginning at 8 p.m. the hotel is providing three separate rooms of entertainment, including comedians Dillon Garcia, Flaco Martinez, Ericka Nuno, Dane Madden and PHAT JOE. Bands and DJs will also be present to add a swing in your step.

For the more spirited 21 and over crowd, Fat Cat Music House and Lounge is also offering an Around the World NYE Party beginning at 6 p.m.  Monday.  Radio stations 97.7 and 98.3 KWIN will be present and the night will feature Milya Brethren and Jiggy performing live.

A comedy show will shortly follow presented by the Valley’s King of Comedy Ric James. There will be a cocktail tour featuring different drinks from around the world including cava, absinthe, sangria, sake and more.

There will also be a Barely Legal Burlesque show, teppanyaki with Master Chef Rudy Fernandez, and hypnotist Darin Frazier. DJ Tease, Topek, Dade, and Dirty D will be cranking their tunes.

The Clarion Hotel in Modesto will hold its 2nd Annual Fire and Ice New Year’s Eve Party for guests 21 and over. Women are encouraged to wear red and the men white to follow the theme.

Three party rooms with include everything from Johnny Rocket and the Thrusts to DJ Dirty D spinning the top 40s. There will be a full bar, balloon drop, and an indoor pool area.

The ice package grants access to all three party areas beginning at 9 p.m., including a champagne toast at midnight and overnight accommodations with breakfast in the morning for $149 per couple. The fire package includes prime rib dinner for two, as well as everything else in the ice package for $199 per couple.

For a more family friendly approach, John’s Incredible Pizza is hosting its 2nd Annual New Year’s Eve Party and Horn Parade.

Celebration packages include an all-you-can-eat buffet and beverage special, including free rides and non-ticket play. The $75 value is available for $15 for kids 3-12, and $20 for 13 and over. Presale tickets before Dec. 31 are $10 for kids and $15 for adults.

The Premium package, which is a $100 value, includes the buffet, free rides, non-ticket play, and a $25 FunCard. Kid’s price for ages 3-12 is $25 and adults $30.
