America Legion Post 249 will be accepting a $500 donation from Eva McHenry, founder and President of Miles of Smiles Network for the organization’s Americans With Disabilities (ADA) upgrade fund.

The donation will take place Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 6:30 p.m. at the Legion Hall on East Yosemite Avenue.

The network is composed of artists and entertainers across California coming together to help causes and organizations which are making a difference in local communities through the arts, education, and entertainment. Miles of Smiles Network believes in the power of philanthropy to change communities. Their vision is based on a very simple premise: Do Good Unto Others.

Award winning children’s author John Paul Padilla, will attend to help present the check. His mascot, Johnny Big Ears, will also be there.
