Supervisor Elliott speaking at Patriots Meeting Thursday

Bob Elliott, the San Joaquin County Supervisor for District 5, is the speaker for the next Manteca Patriots meeting on Thursday, May 14, at 7:30 p.m. 

 Elliott will be providing an update on current issues facing San Joaquin County, including the proposed Veterans Administration healthcare facility and measures to deal with the drought.

Elliott received his Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy, and a Master of Arts degree in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey. Throughout his career in the United States Army, he received numerous awards in recognition of his outstanding achievements and leadership, including the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, NATO Medal, Korean Order of National Security Merit Samil Medal, Special Forces Tab, Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist Badge, SCUBA Diver’s Badge, and various other awards and decorations.

The meeting will be held in the banquet facilities at Angelano’s Restaurant, which is located at 1020 N. Main St. in Manteca. Those who attend the meeting are free to order dinner from the restaurant menu, but will be responsible for their own payment. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public.
