Braata, a local Reggae Rock band, will start the entertainment at the Manteca Independence Day Celebration today at 4 p.m., at the Big League Dreams sports complex.
The concert is free with admission to the park. Admission is $2 for adults, and $1 ages 13-17, and children under 12 free.
Braata is a Manteca-based band that has been together for 10 months and has already taken second place in one of the longest running battle of bands in California. They will be performing many of their original songs that will be released on their first CD this summer along with some old-time favorites.
You can tell how dedicated these talented musicians are when you listen to the energy of their Reggae-Rock sound that has been enjoyed by all ages. These teens ranging in age from 17 to 18 are under the direction of Gordon Kennedy of Janis Studios.
