Braata performing at XFest, & Mountain Aire concerts

Braata, a Manteca/Stockton Reggae Rock band, was chosen to perform at Xclamation Festival (Xfest) this Saturday, Aug. 6, in downtown Modesto.

 Xfest, in its 12th year is expecting over 20,000 people. There are 40 bands & DJs performing on eight different stages. Doors open at 5 p.m. with music starting at 6 p.m.  Braata is scheduled to play at 6 p.m. and will be sharing the Budweiser / KHOP Stage with bands like Panic at the Disco, Dead Kennedys, and The hold up.  This is a 21-and-over event. Braata also will be playing Mountain Aire Concert on Aug 12-13.  This is located at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds and is the return of the popular outdoor concert from the ‘70s and ‘80s.  There will be three stages with 30 plus bands.  There will be an Air Show, Sky divers and many more activities throughout the weekend.  This all weekend event is from Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. to Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. and is an all-age event.  Presale tickets start at 15.00 for one day, also available is 3-day passes along with camping and VIP packages. Braata was formed in 2008 and mixes rock, ska, reggae and funk into their own very unique sound.  They have released one CD that can be purchased on iTunes. They are currently in the process of recording their new CD which will feature some of their new high energy music. Braata not only performs large shows like the above but pride themselves in donating their time and talent for fund raising events such as Relay for Life, Boys and Girls Club, Breast Cancer Research Make a wish foundation, and Veteran’s Outreach Program.
