A young Manteca couple was jailed late Tuesday afternoon and bail set at $1 million for the possession of drugs and guns and child endangerment, according to Manteca Police spokeswoman Jody Estarziau.
At about 4:30 p.m. members of the Street Crimes Unit (SCU) conducted a parole search at a residence in the 200 block of Acacia Avenue where they contacted 21-year-old Jonathan Clarios and 20-year-old Jennifer Salguero and their young daughter.
Both were booked into San Joaquin County Jail on felony drug and firearms charges. They were specifically charged with willful cruelty/danger to a child, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of cocaine for sale, being felons in possession of firearms, for maintaining a location for drug sales and for being armed in the commission of drug sales and for being a felon in possession of ammunition along criminal conspiracy.
Found in their apartment was one pound of methamphetamine, one half pound of cocaine, one quarter pound of marijuana, two grams of heroin, two functional firearms – one of which was loaded and a large amount of cash that was seized pursuant to asset seizure laws.
