As part of the recent budget cuts, the Manteca Unified School District agreed to close down the Sequoia Annex.

The vacant site that was once Yosemite School could be the next Manteca Day campus.
On Tuesday, the school board will consider and discuss relocating the Manteca Day program currently housed on the northeast campus of Manteca

High to the former Sequoia Annex at some during the 7 p.m. open session.

The district along with the site administration recently deemed the facility suitable to the learning environment for this program, with the cost as related to the impending move being very limited.

In addition, staffing and enrollment is expected to remain the same.

Other agenda items include:

•Trustees, in closed session, could hire more school site assistants.
•The board is expected to OK Oct. 19 through 23 as Red Ribbon Week.
•Trustees are expected to accept a completion of contract to F&H Construction for the Lathrop High stadium.
•The board could look to place David Chavez, who is the server system analyst at the district office, on the 39-month reemployment list.

The district office is located at 2271 W. Louise Ave., Manteca.
