The recently revitalized 106-year-old Manteca Winery on Oak Street standing prominently alongside the Union Pacific Railroad just south of downtown Manteca will play host to the first Hot August Nights event at the old historical site.

The community extravaganza, to be held Saturday, Aug. 13, will include the “first wine tasting” in decades taking place at Manteca’s Historical Point of Interest #14, plus an antique and vintage car show, vendor booths and live entertainment. The booths will open at 3 p.m. while the wine tasting will begin at 7 p.m. inside “The Big Red Brick Building.”

Among the event’s highlights will be a display of Paul Binford’s custom-bikes collection. He is the owner of Binford’s Custom Cycles located at 418 North Main Street in Manteca. Lucky 7 Tattoo Studio at 181 W. Alameda Street in Manteca also will be among those having a display at the Hot August Nights celebration.

Admission to the vendors’ booths in the courtyard and other buildings of Valentine Construction is free to the public. Tickets to the wine tasting which will take place inside the old Manteca Winery are $15 each in advance, $20 at the door on the day of the event.
