Sierra High will once again put on the All-Star Olympic Games on Wednesday beginning at 10:15 a.m.
“This is an annual event we host each spring for the Special Day (severely handicapped) programs throughout the five comprehensive high schools including the San Joaquin County Office of Education classes,” said Sierra High Assistant Principal Anne Marie Shaw.
The seventh annual games will once again be held at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium, with participants taking part in friendly competitive events such as the sprints, javelin, hurdles, and relays.
The events will be organized and supported by the Adaptive PE staff and Sierra High students – they’ll look to cheer on and encourage the all-stars.
The goal of the All-Star Olympic Games is to promote wellness, physical activity, and inclusivity for all while taking part in some fun and friendly competition among peers.
